Ohhhh...I hear you say....'I freeze in social situations and can't seem to get comfortable meeting strangers'....
But....
'When I have my dog with me, I don't feel as uncomfortable, just seems to go much smoother'...
Does this ring a bell with you? Interesting isn't it...we have all heard that having a dog or a pet is an ice breaker and in some ways, that is exactly how the concept of 'breaking the ice' with a complete stranger starts, and can be so much easier if you do have a pet.
Because it is a common subject that either the 'stranger' or yourself have an interest in that creates a basis of commencing a chat...
So...if you don't have that prop as it were, what could be that 'ice breaker' subject or starter to a chat? A smile, an acknowledgement...?
Perhaps consider...that a stranger could be a friend that you just haven't met yet.
