Family Therapy

What is Family Therapy?

Family therapy is a supportive process designed to help families navigate challenges, strengthen connections, and manage conflict in healthier ways. I specialise in working with high-conflict relationships and individual struggles, offering counselling and psychotherapy that includes reunification strategies and co-parenting coaching for families facing separation or divorce. Drawing on expertise in mediation and dispute resolution, I provide tailored approaches that foster understanding, promote lasting growth, and give you practical tools to thrive well beyond the therapy room.

Why Try Family Therapy?

Families don’t come with a manual — and when conflict, separation, or big life changes happen, even the strongest bonds can feel strained. Family therapy gives you a safe space to step back from the tension and look at what’s really going on beneath the surface.

Family therapy isn’t about fixing people.
It’s about strengthening the connections that hold them together.

Parenting Co-ordination

What is Parenting Co-ordination?

Parenting Co-ordination is a specialised service designed to help separated or divorced parents navigate the challenges of raising children together. Working collaboratively with both parents, we focus on improving communication, setting clear boundaries, and creating a cooperative co-parenting dynamic that prioritises the well-being of the children. Through personalised guidance and practical tools, parenting co-ordination empowers parents to resolve conflicts, make informed decisions, and manage day-to-day parenting challenges with confidence and clarity.

Why Choose Parenting Co-ordination?

Co-parenting after separation isn’t always straightforward. Parenting Co-ordination provides a neutral, supportive space where both parents can work together effectively, with the children’s best interests at the centre. By promoting empathy, respect, and flexibility, this approach helps reduce conflict, ease transitions, and build a healthier, more sustainable co-parenting relationship. Tailored to the needs of each family, parenting co-ordination equips parents with strategies to navigate disagreements, make consistent decisions, and foster a stable environment for their children to thrive.

The New Ways for Families Approach

Parents New Ways For Families
New Ways for Families is a parenting skills method intended to reduce the impact of conflict on your children, reduce your stress levels and bring back some calm to your potentially high-conflict divorce or separation.

Parenting Co-ordination Fee Structure

$350

(60 Minute session) *All fees are inclusive of GST
Initial Consultation and Assessment
We begin with separate intake sessions for each parent (no children). These allow us to understand your existing court orders or parenting plan, the conflict points, communication style, and the priorities for co-parenting. This assessment sets the foundation for the ongoing Parenting Co-ordination process.
Joint Parenting Coordination Sessions
These sessions bring both parents together with the Coordinator. The purpose is to clarify expectations, address day-to-day parenting issues where conflict arises (e.g. pick-ups, vacation schedules, schooling, healthcare), monitor compliance with existing orders, and develop healthier communication and decision-making patterns.
Case Management & Support
Parenting coordination often involves work outside of the formal sessions: reviewing correspondence between parents, assisting with clarifications, following up on agreed items, and helping with any urgent child-related decisions or changes. This ensures you have support between sessions and that momentum is maintained.
